Bilbo Aged 50 was visited by Gandalf, whom he had not seen for quite some time at Bag End. Gandalf invited Bilbo on an adventure which Bilbo flatly refused. Undeterred, Gandalf continued his plan and sent thirteen dwarves to Bag End that very day. After hearing the Dwarves tale of a lost homeland, Bilbo agreed to be the "burglar" and help the dwarves reclaim the Lonely Mountain. On this long journey to reclaim the mountain, Bilbo tried to avoid confrontation but became fond of his sword "Sting".
